How does my subscription with Kites & Ivy work?

You sign up to give (or receive!) a box filled with goodies that is delivered on a continuous basis. It's convenient too - you don't need to worry about manually ordering each new box, as your subscription will continue to auto-renew until you cancel it!

How many care packages are delivered each academic year? 

At Kites & Ivy, we mail out 4 themed boxes per academic year, twice per semester as follows: Back to School, Winter Finals, Spring Fever, Finals Survival. The first box your recipient will receive depends on the date you sign up.

When will my gift recipient receive her package?

Our packages are scheduled to go out at specific times based on each University's academic calendar. Our approximate shipping schedule is as follows: Back to School box - end of September, Winter Finals box - late November, Spring Fever box - end of February, Finals Survial box - end of academic year. *Please note that boxes are not necessarily mailed out right when you sign up, but instead are sent so that the theme of the box coincides with the academic calendar. For example, if you sign up in January, your recipient's first box will be the Spring box and we will ship it out in late February. 

When will my credit card be charged? 

Your credit card will be charged immediately at the time of purchase. Your rebill date will depend on which package you select. If you choose to pay for a single box at a time, you will be charged at the time of purchase. Approximately 3 months after your sign-up date, you will then be rebilled again in time for your recipient to get the next box.  This will continue quarterly until you cancel your subscription. If you choose the 2 box subscription, you will be billed at the time of purchase. Approximately 6 months after your sign-up date, you will then be rebilled again and your recipient will receive 2 more boxes. This will continue every 6 months until you cancel your subscription. If you choose the yearly subscription, you will be billed at the time of purchase. Approximately 12 months after your sign-up date, you will then be rebilled again and your recipient will receive 4 more boxes. This will continue annually until you cancel your subscription. 

ALL SUBSCRIPTIONS AUTOMATICALLY RENEW. ALL SUBSCRIPTIONS ARE REBILLED ON THE 1ST OF THE MONTH. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. 

What is your cancellation/refund policy?

Subscriptions may be canceled at any time. However, cancellations need to occur prior to your rebill date. Should you cancel your subscription AFTER your credit card has already been charged, you will receive the upcoming box(es) and your cancellation will be activated for all future boxes. In other words, if you wish to cancel your subscription, you must do so BEFORE your renewal date. If you cancel a semester or yearly subscription, we do not issue any partial refunds in the middle of your subscription. You can find your renewal date listed in your account.

How do I cancel my subscription? 

It's easy! Simply log in to your account, click the button to edit your subscription, and select "cancel". We will be sad to see you go!

What is your refund policy? 

All sales are final and we do not offer refunds.

What do I do if my recipient does not receive her package? 

When we mail out shipments, we will send you an email with tracking information so you can easily track your package. Many times, with dorms and large apartment buildings, packages can be delivered to the front desk or main office, therefore we suggest having your recipient check with the staff at her building to see if her gift has been delivered. Kites & Ivy is not responsible for packages sent to incorrect addresses, so please be sure that the shipping information entered during checkout is correct. If your package was unclaimed/returned to Kites & Ivy, and we sent it to the correct listed address, we charge a $10 flat fee to have the package reshipped. This charge is made through Paypal invoice and will be sent and received to the email address:  contact@kitesandivy.com.

What will be included in each care package? 

That's the fun part! The contents of the box are a surprise, but we can tell you this - each box has a theme. For the Finals Survival box, for example, contents of the box will include items that will help make studying for exams more bearable. Each box will include a variety of carefully selected bath and beauty products, accessories, and other fun essentials. Items could range from face and body lotions, hair products, nail polish, makeup, a headband, a scarf or a tumbler - and so much more! Our boxes are ALWAYS worth substantially more than the retail price! Whatever the surprise, you can be assured that we seek only the BEST for our boxes.

How can I update my recipient's mailing address? 

We understand that college students are likely to have a change of address at some point during the year. No problem! Just log in to your account and update the preferred shipping address. We will also send reminders during popular moving times (such as before a new school year begins) confirming mailing addresses.

*Kites & Ivy is not responsible for boxes that are shipped to outdated addresses that have not been updated by the customer.
